Alvin Cheung brings 15 years of experience leading technical teams—including about a decade in the renewable energy sector—and a deep background in operations and efficiency to his role as COO of Leora Home Health. While this is his first direct venture into healthcare, Alvin’s understanding of the field runs deep: he grew up in a family of physicians, including his grandfather, Professor Yee Kung Lok, a renowned pioneer in Chinese medicine. Professor Lok played a pivotal role in the legalization of acupuncture in Nevada in 1973, helping to establish the practice in the United States against significant opposition from the medical community
Inspired by this legacy of healthcare innovation, Alvin is dedicated to creating a people-first organization where the well-being of care staff—nurses, therapists, and home health aides—comes first. He believes that happy, empowered caregivers naturally deliver the highest quality care.
